Electrical, Fire, Nurse Call & Security Coordination (BIM)
Frimley Park Hospital is a new 7,793 m² diagnostic and inpatient facility, where Project Design (IO) was subcontracted to deliver electrical services coordination across the building. Working as the Electrical Coordinator within the MEP team, the scope covered Electrical, Fire, Nurse Call and Security systems.
The building comprises a Ground Floor diagnostic and mammography department (MRI, CT, Gamma Camera, mammography and ultrasound suites), a First Floor 38-bed decant ward, a Second Floor 36-bed respiratory and MADU ward, and a Third Floor plant room. Key coordination tasks included containment and plantroom coordination, vertical distribution, the incoming 1600A bus-bar, specialist services, lighting and small power, and construction-stage drawings.
Delivered through full BIM coordination to ISO 19650, the work resolved complex spatial constraints.
