Asset management Overview principles and terminology
The ISO 55000 standard integrates with other essential management systems by outlining definitions and terminologies for asset management. Published under the International Organization for Standardization of Management Systems (ISO) standards, it contains technical specifications and a set of guidelines for its use.
It is the first management system standard to implement the new ISO Annex SL, which replaces the historical ISO Guide 83 and provides a consistent basis for other management systems allowing the integration of asset management with other systems such as financial management. [1], [2]
