Facility Data

The non-graphical information attached to objects in the Model that defines various characteristics of the object. Facility Data can include properties such as parametric values that drive physical sizes, material definitions and characteristics (e.g. wood, metal), manufacturer data, industry standards (e.g. AISC steel properties), and project identification numbers. Facility Data can also define supplementary physical entities that are not shown graphically in the Model, such as insulation around a duct, or hardware on a door. [1]
